01、无锡高新区产城融合蓝图发布

WND releases blueprint for industry-city integration

　　WND’s Plan on Modernization, Internationalization and Innovative Urban Industry-city Integration and Three-year Action Plan Release Conference was held on Sept 24.

　　During the conference, the three-year action plan was officially launched and interpreted, a round-table forum about the opportunity and future of the integrated industry-city development of WND was held, and experts and scholars made suggestions for the future development of WND. The plan will implement more than 600 government investment projects, with a total social investment of about 300 billion yuan ($41.91 billion), to build the district with global competitiveness in modernization, internationalization and innovation.

　　9月24日，无锡高新区（新吴区）现代化国际化创新型城区产城融合规划及三年行动计划发布大会举行。

　　会上正式启动和解读了三年行动计划，进行了以“高新区产城融合发展的机会与未来”为题的圆桌论坛，专家学者为高新区的新一轮跃升发展出谋划策。三年行动计划实施政府投资项目600余个，社会总投资约3000亿元，全力打造具有全球竞争力的现代化国际化创新型城区。

02、梅里遗址博物馆正式开馆

Wuxi Meili Site Museum opens in WND

　　The opening ceremony of the Wuxi Meili Site Museum was held in WND on Sept 23. During the ceremony, the Wu Culture Archaeological Research Base was established. 

　　The museum is built on the original site of ruins in Shang and Zhou Dynasties (c.16th century - 256 BC), with a total construction area of 1,941 square meters of six exhibition areas. Through the  exhibition of 355 relics, scene reproduction, and interactive experience, it shows the discovery of archaeological sites and basic principles of archaeology, the cultural connotation of excavated relics, the comparison of regional archaeological cultures, the canal and the primitive porcelain, the dissemination of ethical culture and the influence of Taibo on future generations.

　　9月23日，梅里遗址博物馆开馆仪式在无锡高新区举行。仪式上还为吴文化考古研究基地进行了授牌。

　　梅里遗址博物馆建于商周遗址原址，总建筑面积1941平方米，共设置6个板块。通过实物展览、情景再现、互动体验等多种方式，展现了考古遗址的发现与考古学基本原理、遗址出土文物的文化内涵、区域考古文化的比较、运河与原始瓷、礼教文化的传播与泰伯对后世的影响。

03、高新区开放两个智能网联汽车道路测试区域

WND opens two road-testing areas for ICV

　　WND recently opened two road-testing areas for intelligent connected vehicles – one in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and one in the Taihu Bay Science and Technology City.

　　In recent years, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone has formed a closed-loop of the whole intelligent supply chain from intelligent manufacturing plants to intelligent warehouses, combining trade with logistics. Relying on the C-V2X Vehicle-Road Collaboration Technology Demonstration Project, the Taihu Bay Science and Technology City has built a series of application scenarios such as transparent intersections, green wave traffic, intelligent parking and bus driving behavior warning.

　　近日，高新区开放了两个智能网联汽车道路测试区域，分别位于综保区区域和太湖湾科创城区域。近年来，综保区已经实现了从智能制造工厂到智慧仓库之间的全程智慧供应链闭环，开启了“贸易+物流”新局面。太湖湾科创城依托“C-V2X车路协同技术示范项目”，建设了透明路口、透明道路、绿波通行、智慧停车、公交驾驶行为预警等一系列场景应用。

04、无锡空港经开区激活创新“生命力” 实现高质量发展

Wuxi airport zone posts high-quality growth

　　The Wuxi Airport Economic Development Zone in WND has delivered high-quality growth while striving to become a hub for innovation and international cooperation, becoming an important link in the transportation network of the Yangtze River Delta. 

　　Industrial output of the zone, maintained steady growth in the first half of the year. The total output value of industries above designated size — enterprises earning at least 20 million yuan ($2.85 million) annually — between January and June surpassed 27 billion yuan, up 12.4 percent year-on-year.

　　位于无锡高新区的无锡空港经济开发区在实现高质量发展的同时，也致力成为创新与国际合作的枢纽，如今已成为长三角交通网络的重要一环。无锡空港经济开发区上半年工业产值保持稳定增长态势，今年1-6月，其规上工业总产值超过270亿元，同比增长12.4%。

05、“二胡之乡”梅村

Meicun town: hometown of erfu

　　Meicun town in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, has long been regarded as the hometown of erhu, a two-stringed bowed traditional Chinese musical instrument. Such a reputation derives from the spirit of craftsmanship and dedication that master artisans in Meicun put into producing the instrument.

　　Meicun began producing erhu as early as 1965. Since then, more people have devoted themselves to the trade and Meicun later became a synonym for fine and exquisite erhu. 

　　无锡梅村一直以来都被视为“二胡之乡”，二胡是一种有两根弦的弓形传统乐器。这样的美誉来自于梅村工匠大师在制作乐器时的精湛技艺和奉献精神。梅村早在1965年就开始生产二胡，从那时起，随着越来越多的人投身于这一行业，梅村也成为“精美二胡”的代名词。

06、高新区装扮一新迎国庆

WND decorated for National Day

　　Today is China’s National Day and parterres and national flags can be seen in WND to welcome the National Day holiday which falls from Oct 1 to 7. Happy holiday!
