01、高新区两家企业入围全国工人先锋号

WND-based firms honored as National Worker Pioneers

　　The All-China Federation of Trade Unions recently announced the candidates (collectives) for the 2022 National May Day Labor Award and the National Worker Pioneer Award. A total of two WND-based enterprises were honored as National Worker Pioneers - the CMP Manufacturing Technology Department of SK Hynix Semiconductor (China) Co Ltd and the Common Rail Group of Auto Parts Division of Wuxi Weifu High-Tech Group Co Ltd. Congratulations!

　　近日，中华全国总工会对2022年全国五一劳动奖和全国工人先锋号表彰人选（集体）进行了公示。高新区共有2家企业入围全国工人先锋号，分别是SK海力士半导体（中国）有限公司CMP制造技术部和无锡威孚高科技集团股份有限公司汽车零部件事业部共轨轨体组。

02、全省首个实现全链审批项目于高新区竣工验收

Province’s first project adopting whole chain approval policy passes approval in WND

　　The Wuxi Sunvou Medical Project recently passed approval in WND under the city’s policy of “Optimization of Joint Acceptance”, becoming the first engineering project in the province to realize the whole chain approval, which is “start construction immediately when land is acquired” and “put into use immediately when construction is completed”. The whole process has been accelerated by 12 months.

　　The project covers an area of about 1.6 hectares, including nearly 40,000 square meters of building area, and has a total investment of 270 million yuan ($42.35 million). Sunvou is a science and technology enterprise incubated in WND and mainly engaged in the production of medical devices.

　　近日，无锡尚沃医疗项目通过我市“优化联合验收”改革，于高新区完成竣工验收，成为全省首个实现“拿地即开工”到“竣工即投用”全链审批的工程项目，全程提速12个月。

　　尚沃医疗项目占地约24亩，包括近4万平米建筑大楼，总投资2.7亿元。尚沃是在高新区孵化成熟的科创企业，主要从事医疗器械生产。

03、新吴区入选2021年度江苏省自然资源节约集约利用模范区

WND selected as 2021 provincial model district for conservation and intensive use of natural resources

　　April 22 is the 53rd World Earth Day. WND has always followed the path of green development. The list of 2021 Model Cities and Counties (Cities and Districts) in Jiangsu Province for Conserving and Intensive Utilization of Natural Resources was recently released by the Department of Natural Resources of Jiangsu Province. WND was among those listed, the fifth consecutive year it has received the award. 

　　Meanwhile, the economical and intensive land use work in WND has achieved remarkable results. Two projects in WND, the SK Hynix Second Factory Project (in 2020) and the WingTech Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park Project (in 2022), were selected among the 10 best cases of efficient land use in the province.

　　4月22日是第53个世界地球日。新吴区一直以来都坚持绿色的区域发展路线。近日，省自然资源厅公布了2021年度江苏省自然资源节约集约利用模范市、县（市、区）名单，新吴区成功入选，并已连续五年获得全省自然资源节约集约利用评价考核奖励。

　　多措并举之下，新吴区节约集约用地工作成效显著。新吴区的SK海力士二工厂项目（2020年）和闻泰智能制造产业园项目（2022年）入选全省10个节地模式（技术）先进典型案例。

04、超亿元项目签约空港经开区

Airport Economic Development Zone signs project worth over 100m yuan

　　An auto parts project invested by Chongqing Rebo Optoelectronics Co Ltd was recently signed into effect in Airport Economic Development Zone (Shuofang neighborhood) in WND, with over 100 million yuan ($15.69 million) in investment.

　　The company plans to set up a new manufacturing base in the zone which will mainly manufacture automotive smart lights and electronic control units. The base is expected to be put into production before the end of the year, after interior decoration is completed and various certifications are obtained. After starting production, the base’s annual sales are expected to reach 500 million yuan and its tax contribution 30 million yuan. 

　　近日，重庆睿博光电股份有限公司投资的汽车零部件项目落户新吴区空港经开区（硕放街道），项目总投资超亿元。

　　该公司计划在空港经开区新设制造基地，主要业务包括汽车智能灯具和电子控制单元。项目计划在年内完成厂房装修和各项认证工作后正式投入生产，达产后将实现年销售5亿元，上缴税收3000万元。

05、梅村二胡：穿越千年的城市名片

Erhu, a cultural symbol of Meicun neighborhood

　　Meicun neighborhood in WND is known as the “hometown of the erhu”. The neighborhood started making erhu in 1965 after the construction of the Meicun Traditional Musical Instrument Factory. Today, it is home to 20 erhu workshops, most of which are family workshops passed down from father to son. 

　　Bu Guangjun is a leading erhu-maker in Meicun neighborhood and owner of Guyue, an esteemed workshop in the neighborhood. Bu learned how to make the erhu from his father-in-law in 1997 and has been in the industry for over 20 years. Guyue now makes more than 5,000 erhu every year, some of which are exported to Singapore, Japan, and other countries. 

　　梅村被誉为“中国二胡之乡”，其二胡制作历史一直可以追溯到1965年梅村民族乐器厂的创办。至今，梅村二胡的作坊数量已经达到了20家，其中大部分都是父传子、子传孙的家庭作坊。

　　卜广军是梅村二胡制作的领军人物之一，也是古月琴坊的当家人。1997年，卜广军正式跟着岳父万其兴学习制琴，至今已有20多年了。如今，古月琴坊每年可以产出5000多把琴，这些二胡在满足国内市场之余，还会发往新加坡、日本等地。
