01、钱穆故居活化利用开馆仪式在高新区举行

Opening ceremony for revitalization of Qian Mu’s former residence held in WND

　　The opening ceremony of the revitalization and utilization of Qian Mu’s former residence, part of the series of activities of the 2023 Wu Cultural Tourism Season in WND, was held on May 14.

　　The project aims to breathe new life into the historical space by incorporating cutting-edge aesthetics, high-end technology, and advanced operation methods. By engaging in dialogue and interaction with visitors, the project seeks to preserve and pass on the rich regional culture.

　　5月14日，“一代鸿儒 弦歌不辍”2023新吴区吴文化旅游季系列活动之钱穆故居活化利用开馆仪式举行。

　　故居活化利用工程主要通过沉浸式营造、系统化焕新对现有空间进行活化，并充分运用前沿美学、高端科技、先进运营的手段，让名人故居活起来，与参观者、城市乃至社会产生对话和互动，由此转译故居记忆、传承区域文脉。

02、高新区代表团在日本开展交流合作

WND delegation seeks operation in Japan

　　A WND delegation visited Japan with the aim of enhancing interaction and fostering stronger ties between the two regions. The visit promoted two-way investment and facilitated multi-field, deep-level, and high-level exchanges and cooperation from May 10 to 12.

　　Significant achievements were made during the trip, as cooperation between WND and Japan yielded fruitful results. Several projects were successfully signed, encompassing high-tech, innovative, and promising ventures. These projects span across industries covering high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent logistics, biomedicine, and more. The implementation of these projects is expected to greatly contribute to the regional economic development.

　　5月10日-12日，无锡高新区代表团来到日本，强化双方互动，促进双向投资，共同推动多领域、深层次、高水平的交流合作。

　　此行，无锡高新区收获颇丰，签署的项目科技含量高、创新能力强、发展潜力大，涵盖高端装备制造、智能物流、生物医药等产业，将进一步提升区域经济发展的“含新量”和“含金量”。

03、高新区位列2023市辖区高质量发展百强名单第四

WND ranks fourth among Top 100 Municipal Districts for High-quality Development in 2023

　　The list of Top 100 Municipal Districts for High-quality Development in 2023 was recently released, and after ranking fifth for three consecutive years, WND moved up one place to fourth on the list, which reflects the achievements of the high-quality development of the district.

　　近日，2023市辖区高质量发展百强名单发布。高新区（新吴区）在连续三年位列全国第五后，名次再进一位，位列全国第四名，充分体现了全区高质量发展的成果和实效。

04、苏南硕放国际机场改扩建工程全面启动开工建设

Reconstruction and expansion of Sunan Shuofang International Airport begins

　　The reconstruction and expansion of the Sunan Shuofang International Airport in WND began on May 18. 

　　The project is expected to greatly improve the efficiency of passenger and cargo resource allocation and meet the development target of 500,000 tons of cargo throughput by 2030 and the development demands of the continuous growth of aviation business, helping Wuxi become an important transportation hub in China.

　　5月18日，苏南硕放国际机场改扩建工程全面启动开工建设。项目落成后将大幅提升机场客货资源配置效率，满足2030年货邮吞吐量50万吨发展目标和航空业务量持续增长的发展需求，助力无锡打造具有全国辐射力的交通枢纽名城。

05、鸿山遗址博物馆“进”校园

Hongshan Site Museum launches activities in schools

　　May 18 marks International Museum Day, and WND’s Hongshan Site Museum launched a series of activities to celebrate the day in schools and display the history of the Hongshan Site to young students. The activities gave the students the opportunity to learn more about the traditional culture in the museum.

　　5月18日是国际博物馆日。位于高新区的鸿山遗址博物馆正式启动“鸿博进校园——兔年说兔”系列主题活动，向青少年学生全面展示鸿山遗址的历史故事，以期让青少年在触摸历史、感知文化的同时赋能青少年美好生活。
